It’s time for another round of crazy/silly things that Amelia says. Most people would agree with me, but Miss Amelia is insanely smart. She cracks me up and amazes me every day with her creativity, vocabulary and intelligence. These snippets are from the last few weeks…
Mommy: What are you going to be when you grow up?
Amelia: A queen like mommy. (that’s my girl!)
Amelia’s Halloween costume itched her one day and it completely set her off (we’re talking crazy screaming fit)…to the degree that she didn’t want to wear it that day. The following day she was talking to Dustin and told him that the “dress itched her breasts.”
Amelia loves to stare at the clouds and find shapes. Yesterday she was staring at the clouds looking for horses, babies and more. Then she spotted some dark clouds and said “there are the brown clouds, those are the ones with rain in them.” CRAZY smart I tell ya!
Earlier in the week I was in the kitchen and Amelia asked for a snack. I asked her if she could open the fridge and she did. I was so excited that she was able to open it. That mean she could get her sippy cup and a piece of cheese if I asked her to. Well, that excitement was short-lived because when I was in the shower 3 minutes later she asked if she could have a snack and I said no. Well, 2 minutes later she was back in the bathroom with another piece of cheese…that stinker!
Amelia was just telling me that her Aunt Zay has a boo boo on her finger and I said “oh no, how did she get it?” Amelia responded “we’ll talk about it later.” Crazy kid!
Last night as we were coming home from running errands we saw our neighbors down the street leaving their house. They’re an Indian family and all of the ladies were dressed in beautiful Saris. Amelia saw them and said “hey mommy, they’re all dressed up for Halloween to go trick-or-treating.” It’s amazing and hilarious how little kids perceive things.
