Amelia’s is just 2 days shy of 22 months.
My goodness is she funny, smart and silly. She’s precocious as anything, cracks herself up and your typical tantrum throwing almost two year old. I can’t believe it, I can’t believe she’ll be two in two months and two days. Where the heck did the time go?
I was browsing through pictures tonight and I can’t believe she was really that little, that she was in my tummy at one point. I loved who she was then, but I simply adore the little girl I have now. I want to bottle all of the cuteness and hold on to it forever.
She comes out with the funniest things. She talks, a LOT. Yes, I know she got it from me. My parents call her a chatter box and I have to agree, she doesn’t stop talking all day long.
“Mommy, I want to go outside now”
“Mommy, I would like to watch my penguin movie”
“Mommy, I would like more juice-juice”
“Mommy, mommy, mommy”
It’s fun, but it’s exhausting!
Thankfully fall is paying us a visit this weekend so we spent some time on the back patio this evening enjoying the new patio furniture and playing with the monkey. Here are a few snapshots…

Amelia is in a super silly phase. She’s starting to like the camera and she’ll ham it up hoping I’ll show her the pictures.
This is the very first picture Amelia has ever taken of herself. She was having fun with my point and shoot and this was the only one where her face was actually showing.

We had family in town last weekend for some football and fun. We went to the Children’s Museum, played at grandma and grandpa’s house and relaxed together. Here are some pictures from our weekend together. Soooo fun! And yes, Amelia is getting a tea set from Santa this year, she’s obsessed!

We had a quick visit with the pediatrician due to some digestion issues today so we got a height/weight stat update. With clothes on Amelia was 22.4lbs today, YIPPIE SKIPPY!!!! I was hoping and praying that we’d hit 22lbs by two when she was only 18ish lbs at her 1 year appointment. Of course we have to subtract 5 oz for clothes, but that still puts her right around 22lbs. We did it!!! That’s actually an awesome growth rate, most kiddos only gain 3-5lbs in their second year She’s on track to gain 4lbs during her second year, this makes mommy very happy.
She’s 33ish inches tall. I measured her so it’s probably not the most accurate measurement, I’m betting she’s a bit taller. Averages for a 2 year old are 25-27lbs and 34″…she’s not going to hit the weight, but she’ll hit the height average. Yay for a tall skinny baby little girl. She is indeed a little girl, but she’ll always be my baby.
