Well, Kelley has received her discharge papers, and the pediatrician just stopped by and said everything was good to go with Amelia. So… everyone is good and healthy and we’re going home shortly. Our next update should be from there!

30 hours in… and I figured I’d finally update everyone. Everyone is doing great. Amelia is healthy as can be, and Mom is doing great. We should be going home tomorrow (Thursday) to begin the REAL adventure. Thanks to the family members that have come to visit, and we look forward to introducing our daughter to everyone else in the coming days. It’s been an incredible couple of days, and we couldn’t do it without the support of our friends and family. Thanks again!

SHE HAS ARRIVED! 2:02 PM. 6 pounds 1.6 ounces – 19.25″ long, 11.5″ chest, and 13.25″ head. Pics coming soon!

Sorry guys – things got a bit hectic in between posts here. I’ll let Kelley come back and fill in the details when she’s up for it… but let’s just say that things started happening FAST.

Pitocin has been running for almost an hour now and we’re not seeing any signs of trouble this time. Everything looks good!

Back on the pitocin. Started about 15 minutes ago and so far the baby’s heartrate has been steady. We’ll up the rate shortly and see how it goes. Contractions are setting in every 3-6 minutes now.

OK – news. Dr. Bobo came in and visited with us. She broke the water and inserted a fetal scalp monitor. So we’re commited now, we’re having this baby. Mom and baby are doing fine, baby’s heartrate is good. We’ll restart the pitocin shortly at a slower rate and see how it goes. Dr will be back sometime early afternoon. More to come!

Well, things aren’t moving along very well. The cytotec (pill) last night doesn’t seem to have done anything. So we started some pitocin this morning. After about half an hour of that, the baby wasn’t responding well, so they stopped it and we took a break. We’ve restarted it and had the same result so we’ve stopped again. Doctor is here now, so I’m going to cut this short and will be back shortly.

Got here at about 8:30…

Still at about 1cm, so no progress from last week’s checkup.

Kelley’s taken her cytotec and ambien, and is hooked up to some IV fluids to keep her hydrated… and she’s off to sleep.
