Can you say AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, Gig’em Aggies!?!
You’re probably wondering by now what the ‘Project 365′ folder is in our photo gallery. We are taking a photo each day of Amelia’s first year and on her birthday we will create a photo mosaic of her first birthday portrait using all of these photos.
13 days down…352 to go!
We went this afternoon for Amelia’s first pediatrician appointment with Dr. Danziger. The doctor said that she is perfectly healthy.
When Amelia was born she was 6 pounds 1.6 ounces, when we left the hospital she was 5 pounds 13 ounces and today she weighed in at 6 pounds 5 ounces. Boy does she like to eat!
We’ve posted some photos from Amelia’s first Christmas.

No, I did not have a caesarean (despite the timing that would indicate otherwise), I kind of had an epidural and she is breastfeeding like a champ.

Before I was pregnant I loved the idea of being a mother, the idea of my future children. During my pregnancy I grew to love the child that would be mine, my little girl growing inside of me. After her birth I’ve fallen in love all over again, she’s a miracle given to us by God, a true blessing.
I wrote a ‘nobody ever told me’ blog a while back and well here’s the continuation of that post. The love I feel for my child could never have been explained to me. I get it now; why my mother loves me so, why she wants the world for me, why a mother’s love is unconditional.
Nobody ever told me that I’d be in such awe, that I’d be brought to tears by my child’s smell or the touch of her skin. That I would sit in wonderment of the life we created. Nobody ever told me that there’s no greater gift in this world than to be a mother.
I will thank God every day for the rest of my life for giving me this gift.
Amelia has just put out her first plate of cookies for Santa! (Boy does she know how to get what she wants!)
After a couple of crazy days, we’ve all made it home. Everyone is still doing great. Thanks again to everyone.
