I have to brag, I just do.
My kid is a genius. When I got to MDO to pick her up yesterday they told me that she did the art project all by herself and they were amazed with her. They said that most kids were just slapping things all over the place and needed help to even get that done. Amelia sat there quietly and did her project on her own.
Pretty amazing stuff, huh?
Amelia has never been a fantastic napper. She won’t give in and nap when she’s tired, she’ll fight it to the very end. Lately instead of falling to sleep laying down she’ll continue her present task until she can no longer stay awake, hence the sleepeating. She’ll do in in her high chair and the car…(ignore the goofy mommy talking)
If you listen closely she says “baby” in the video…that’s because she knows that mommy’s cameras have babies in them. Silly girl.

So, about a month ago…yes I am that far behind on blogging. I won a radio contest to go to a private performance at the radio station with Gavin DeGraw and tickets to his show that night.
I will say hey! when Amelia is getting into something she shouldn’t be in. Of course she’s learned how to repeat it. So, everybody say haaay!
Because she makes me laugh. Sorry for the mostly naked baby, we were in the backyard “helping” daddy put Amelia’s new playground together.

Last year was a miserable failure when it came to bluebonnet pictures. Here’s proof.
We got our closing date – yay, yay, yay! We should close on April 24.
Our house is coming along. Here’s an exterior shot of the house from the other day…looks almost finished, right? It’s getting there…granite is going in today, the shower doors are being installed and they’re trucking along with other things. I do have some yucky azaleas in the front garden that will be removed ASAP…I hate azaleas. They look good for approximate 2 days a year.
The windows on the far left are in Amelia’s room, the pretty windows in the middle are in the office (LOVE these windows) and the window on the right of the garage is in the garage extension that will hopefully enable us to organize better and get at least one car in the garage…someday.
We’ll send out change of address stuff as soon as we’ve moved. We’re looking forward to making it our home.
Wow, where to begin. Amelia is a full on, pardon the expression balls-to-the walls toddler. She has no fear and proves it far too often, which often results in crying and bruises. She’s insane, no really.
