We had family in town last weekend for some football and fun. We went to the Children’s Museum, played at grandma and grandpa’s house and relaxed together. Here are some pictures from our weekend together. Soooo fun! And yes, Amelia is getting a tea set from Santa this year, she’s obsessed!
Our new niece is here! She was born 04.04.09 at 11:22pm. She was 6lbs 5oz and 19.5″. Here are a few snapshots from the hospital, newborn portraits will follow soon!
I am super duper excited to have another niece and to watch Keira and Amelia interact with the new baby. Many, many congratulations to Kevin, Melanie and Keira on their beautiful new addition!
I’ve been asked by a few people if arrangements have been made for Pop’s Mass and I wanted to share those details here.
His funeral Mass will be at St. Ignatius Loyola (Spring, TX) on Saturday, January 10 at 11:00am.
We’ve also been asked about flowers and donations. In lieu of flowers we would ask that donations are made in Pop’s name (John Lane) to:
Dedham Youth Baseball
P.O. Box 324
Dedham, MA 02027
We appreciate everyone’s love and support!
Some of you already know, but I wanted to share with those who don’t that our grandfather, our Pop passed away on Monday.
I take photographs for families as their families are changing and growing and I take many of my own family too. I don’t know when I take a photograph how it will move someone or how they’ll appreciate it in years to come. But I knew when I took this one how important it would be to me and to my family, how in that moment I was preserving a part of our family’s history. This is why I love photography. In a moment I am able to capture a lifetime.
I took this photograph of Pop in June at Amelia’s baptism. He’s wearing Amelia’s pool hat and smiling Pop’s smile. This is our Pop.

I wanted to share some photos from Keira’s 1st Birthday party. The theme was pirates and fairies and she had lots of her friends and cousins over for a pool party. She wore a fairy costume and she had a pirate themed cake made by her grandma. I think she had a great first birthday!
Here are a few pictures from the party.
We had our friends Chris, Laura and their son Collin (10 months) over for dinner on Sunday. It was a great opportunity for us to catch up, but also to let the two little ones meet and play. They reached for each other, talked to each other and I think they’re in love.
Unfortunately they were wiggling too much and mommy didn’t realize that she needed the flash until she looked at the pictures later on. I have a few shots of Collin alone and some of Amelia in the tub getting all prettied up! She’s learned to sit up in her bath tub so I think it’s about time we retire the little tub and use the sink or the big girl tub.
We’re heading to the pediatrician tomorrow for her 6 month check up (6 months, 1 week & 2 days to be exact). I’ll update on her stats when we get back.
One year ago today my beautiful niece Keira was born. Read the rest of this entry »
This weekend we’re celebrating two big milestones; Amelia will be 5 months old (5/18) and we’re celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary (5/17). It’s hard to believe that our baby girl is 5 months already and it’s impossible to believe that we’ve been married for 5 years.
It makes me think about all of the people that were there with us celebrating our wedding day five years ago. Most are still married, some are not. Some have kids now (maybe even a few) and some do not. Most are still with us, but I’m sad to say that some are not.
We’ve experienced so much together in the last five years; many, many happy times and a few sad ones too. We’ve both grown in our careers and taken big leaps together. We’ve had great adventures traveling to England, Italy and Egypt and little ones traveling closer to home. We’re working together to establish our business and define ourselves as artists. We’ve taken on the greatest and most rewarding challenge of our lives, being parents.
The constant in everything we do is the passion we have for each other. Dustin makes me laugh like no other. He gives me chills when he touches me. I get butterflies when I see him and I fall deeper in love with him every day. I admire him, I respect him and love him with everything I have.
Growing up I thought I’d move to NYC, Paris or some other city of intrigue and throw myself into my work, marrying in my thirties. I didn’t know that there were greater plans for me, that I’d find my soul mate at 16, that I’d marry at 23 and become a mother at 28. Never could I have imagined the beautiful life that would be laid out for me.
I would like to thank all of you, our family and friends for your endless love and support. Our lives are more fun and our hearts are more full because of all of you.
Here’s to another 5 years!
With love,
Kelley
Dustin’s best friend since he was a kid (since Cub Scouts) was married this weekend to his perfect match. Aaron and Colleen were married in a traditional Catholic ceremony in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dustin was the Best Man and I was there to enjoy the festivities so we were in no way there as their photographers…but of course I had my camera. There was a bit of time before the reception when Aaron and Colleen were waiting to be introduced so I went out to take a few photos. It was a much needed creative escape for me and they both enjoyed their quiet time together. It’s so much fun being able to capture people so much in love.
Congrats Aaron & Colleen!
Below are a few photos and you’ll find a few more here.
We had our monthly family meal today with the Holley clan. I was sitting on the floor with my dad and the girls and as soon as Keira saw the camera she started cheesing it up for me. She’s such a ham!
Amelia (4.5 months) is certainly catching up to Keira (10.5 months)!
