Yesterday Amelia turned 2 weeks old! It’s hard to believe that we’ve been parents for two weeks. Heck, it’s hard to believe that we are parents.
It feels like I am still in a surreal dream, that someone is going to pinch me and I’ll wake up. I am still amazed each time I look at her, that she’s our baby and that she is a part of the two of us, it’s simply a miracle I cannot comprehend. I keep asking other parents when it will sink in and nobody has been able to pin point it yet. Perhaps it will sink in when she’s a teenager and she’s driving me crazy and making her daddy sick with worry.
The feelings of joy, of adventure and pride are ones you never want to end. Thankfully she is ours and we get to relive those feelings each and every day.
