I’ve been hesitant to post this, but Amelia hasn’t worn a diaper in 4 weeks. Yay! My number 1 goal before having baby #2 was that Amelia had to be out of diapers. She’s still wearing a pull-up just in case at night, but she wears panties all day, including nap time…with the exception of when we have no working plumbing.
We have accidents here and there and pooping on the potty is still an issue, but she’s only 26 months old and I’d say she’s potty trained. She’s done really well with it. She’s so proud of herself and we’re thrilled with how she’s doing.
When we started we told her she was going potty and now she tells us 9 out of 10 times when she needs to go instead of waiting for us to ask her. She hasn’t had a single accident at school in the last two weeks and will go potty in public restrooms. My world is a bit different now carrying Clorox wipes to disinfect everything she might touch, but I’m grateful that I don’t have to drive around with a little potty in the back of my car or carry diapers with me. Now we can start stocking up on diapers for number 2 as they blow through them so quickly during the first 4-6 months.
We’re constantly buying new panties these days, but Amelia just loves her princess panties and her Dora ones too…of course she loves them, what little girl doesn’t love princesses and Dora?
So, without further ado here’s our potty princess…
