I haven’t done an update on Amelia in a while so I shall go ahead and post about all of the wonderful and amazing things she’s been up to lately.
Amelia has:
taken control of the remote control
christened the bottom half of Daddy’s plasma
become an expert in removing the little white caps from all of the door stoppers
become an expert at using a BlackBerry
Amelia will:
stand sometimes on her own and with a little bit of support the rest of the time
walk when you hold her hands, sometimes with just one hand
point at something when it catches her eye and she wants it
drink juice or water from a sippy cup, straw or a regular cup with help
crawl through the house screaming mama during her meltdowns (most annoyingly sweet sound that I have ever heard)
eat like no child I’ve ever seen before (most definitely has her Daddy’s metabolism)
close and open doors
find dada, mama, the kitty cats or the dog-dog when you ask her to
eat cat food and dog food if the bowls aren’t properly defended by their owners
crawl to her high chair when she’s hungry
pull down your pants if they’re not tied tight enough
make kissing sounds with her lips and clacking sounds with her tongue
go to sleep without crying at night (hallelujah) and with maybe 5 minutes of crying at nap time (can you say double hallelujah?)
not eat baby food, wants only what we’re eating…including Nerds and Twizzlers
unroll an entire roll of toilet paper if you let her
chew on diamond rings if given a chance
find any shoes left on the floor and suck on them…ewwwww!
snuggle the cats and dog, some of her toys, her piggy (Piglet) and give the most delightful hugs to her Mommy and Daddy
AND
Amelia still hates her car seat and still won’t take a bottle (we’ve given up).
