Amelia had her 6 month appointment on Friday. She had another round of shots and got a clean bill of health. Here’s a list of her stats over the last 6 months.
6 months – 15lbs 8oz (50%), 26-7/8″ (75%), 17-1/8″ noggin (75%) – she’s a stringbean!
4 months – 12lbs 10oz (25%), 24-3/4″ (75%), 16-1/4″ head (50%)
2 months – 11lbs 2oz (50%)
1 month – 1/24 – 9lbs 3oz (50%), 21 5/8″ head (50%)
Birth – 6lbs 1.6oz, 19 1/4″
Amelia is doing something new every day she’s saying ba-ba, ma-ma and started saying da-da on Friday. We know that she’s a bit too young to know who ma-ma and da-da are, but we can pretend that she’s calling our names.
She’s rolling all over the place and perfecting her ability to sit. She passes objects easily from hand to hand and gets quite frustrated if something is out of her reach. Her ability to express emotions has developed dramatically in the last month…I will say that we could do without displeasure and whining. She’s developed a love for her jumperoo and rolling around on the floor with her toys and her dog-dog.
She’s made it through all of the fruits and veggies (some begrudgingly) and will start stage two this evening. She’s also going to have a second meal each day and we’ll add a third in two weeks. She’s been cleared to eat lots of new things and even have some juice on occasion.
I’ve been asked to video tape Amelia while she eats. Here you go Kelley, here’s our go at eating green beans…ick! They’re so bad they make her whine, wiggle and clinch her ‘teeth.’ Make sure you watch her shiver at the end.
