I can’t help but think of the Jefferson’s theme song while writing this post.
“Well we’re movin on up, To the east side. To a deluxe apartment in the sky. Movin on up, To the east side. We finally got a piece of the pie.” Just change the words up a bit (east to north, apartment to house) and it applies to us!
That’s right, you’re reading this post correctly, we’re moving. We’re listing our home this week and moving up toward the Spring area. We’ve been asked by everyone we’ve told personally why we’re doing it and I’ve been straightforward so I thought I’d go ahead and share my answer here as well.
First, living on one income in this day and age is much harder than we thought it would be. We’d like to reduce our fixed bills a bit and live a little more stress-free. Second, most of our immediate family is in the Spring area and we’d love to be closer to them. We love the idea of Amelia spending more time with all of her grandparents, aunts, uncles and her cousin. An added bonus is that we have a lot of friends in the area too. My girlfriend Michelle joked with me about a month ago that I should just sell my house and move to Spring. I can’t tell you how delighted she was when I told her that we were indeed moving a lot closer to her.
We really love our neighborhood/suburb we live in and we will miss it so much. We’re hoping to find something that makes us just as happy and feels like home on the other side of town. We’re just starting the listing/looking process but we’ll keep everyone posted on our happenings.
Please say a little prayer for a quick sale and an easy buying process.
