Nope, Amelia is not crawling, but she’s rolling to get where she wants to go. Amelia has discovered that if she just rolls over eventually she’ll get somewhere. It’s quite cute…except when she gets stuck under the armoire and screams bloody murder.
We’re back from St. Louis and well…the trip home was ROUGH! Amelia got sick for the first time while we were gone; cough/congestion, diarrhea, vomiting, not sleeping and a fever. She’s teething on top of all of that and it stinks! All in all it was a bit rough, but I’m praying that sleeping in her own bed and getting back to our regular routine will get us back on track soon.
In other news, Amelia is tripoding (sitting up using her arms). We love to sit her on the bed and see how long she’ll sit before taking a nose dive into the mattress…this game just never gets old for mommy and daddy.
She’s also drinking from a water water bottle/cup and she’s standing holding onto objects. She’s so cute when she sees herself in a mirror now, she just starts giggling.
She also discovered how much fun bath time can be. She’s always loved it, but she learned to splash this past weekend and just giggles and giggles at herself when she does it. She’s just like her mommy…likes to take long leisurely baths.
Amelia is also napping…woo hoo! She’ll take 1-2 naps a day now and will sleep for 1.5-2.5 hours each time. I love my ‘alone’ time. I can get things done around the house and of course I can blog.
She still won’t take a bottle, but we’re starting solids this week so hopefully between those and lots of nursing in the evening we’ll cut out the middle of the night feeding for good…we’re SO close!
I’m behind on adding photos, but I’ll catch up in the next few days, I promise.
