Amelia is 4 months (& 2 days) old! We’re simply amazed that it’s been that long already. Dustin freaked me out this morning and said “before we know it, she’ll be dating.” I freaked for a moment and then remembered that according to her Daddy she’s not allowed to date until she’s 28. I think I can quit panicking for a little while.
Here’s a little note for Amelia on her 4 month (& 2 day) birthday.

Ever since I met you the sun shines brighter, the days seem shorter and time passes so quickly. Each day is a new journey, we never know how many bumps we’ll hit in the road, but at the end of the day we end up where we hoped, as a happy family. My heart swells each time I see you and sometimes I feel as though it might burst. I love your little laugh and your goofy grins. I love how you’ll stop playing to watch me walk by or stop crying the moment you see me. I love that when I am nursing you, you’ll stop and smile at me and touch my face so gently.
There’s a book called I Already Know I Love You and it’s about loving someone before they’re born. I already knew that I loved you long before you were born, but what simply amazes me is that I already know that YOU love me. I never imagined feeling such love. There’s a look in your eyes that tells me you need me and that you love me.
You and your Daddy have filled my heart more than I could have ever anticipated, it overwhelms me at times. I love you my sweet baby girl and I hope that the sun shines even brighter, that the days get a bit longer and that time slows down a bit so we can stop and savor all of the moments we share.
