I did it and I admit it, we had a ‘play date’. We had our first ‘play date’ on Thursday; walking with a new friend in the neighborhood while the girls slept.
I’ve also joined a women’s group comprised of the ladies in our immediate neighborhood. We’re going to have a play group and a monthly ladies Bunco night. We’re also planning family activities (Easter egg hunts, block parties, chili cook-offs, etc.). This is why we moved to the suburbs and specifically why we moved to our neighborhood. Dustin and I were looking for this type of life for our family.
I am so excited about having regular activities and a routine. I am finally starting to feel like I can structure our days a bit and like I can get stuff done. I do miss the scheduled nature of working and balancing life at home though I am certain it’s a whole different ball game with a kiddo.
I hope to have interesting stories to tell from our LNO (Ladies Nights Out) as the group of ladies are quite diverse and seem to be a lot of fun.
